Privacy Policy

Short version: Awake collects no personal data. No name, no email, nothing about you or what's on your Mac. We keep a few anonymous counts so we can see what's used and improve it — that's the whole extent of it.
The app
Awake runs locally on your Mac. It has no account and needs no sign-in to work. Your license key is validated offline and stored only on your Mac.
The app sends a small anonymous usage ping when it opens and when a feature is used (for example, "keep-awake turned on"). These are counts only — there is no name, no email, no device identifier, no location, and nothing about your files or activity. We literally cannot tell who you are from them; we only see totals like "the timer was used 40 times today."
The website
On useawake.xyz we keep anonymous, aggregate statistics: number of visits and downloads, which page you arrived from (e.g. a link from X or Google), and which search/AI crawlers fetched the site. Visitors are counted using a one-way hash that rotates daily and cannot be reversed to an IP address — we do not store raw IP addresses for analytics. We also use Google Analytics for standard, aggregate traffic measurement.
Buying & the account page
If you buy a license, payment is handled by Stripe; we never see or store your card details. Your email is used only to issue and show your license. If you choose to sign in on the account page with Google, we receive only your email address (to match it to your purchase) — nothing else.
What we never do
- We don't sell or share your data with advertisers.
- We don't track what you do on your Mac or read your files.
- We don't build a profile of you across sites.
Your choices
The app's usage pings are anonymous and minimal, but if you'd prefer to block them entirely, a firewall/Little Snitch rule for the app will do it, and the app keeps working normally. For website analytics, standard browser tracker-blockers work as usual.
